Guanyin - Goddess of Mercy
This painting portrays Bodhisattva Guanyin as a beautiful goddess of blessing. She is seated by a river under a huge rock, holding a willow branch in her right hand. Next to her is a vase, a regular attribute of Guanyin. The devotees of Water-Moon Guanyin believe that she is always ready to respond to any sentient being who calls for help.
